回复:don't let the teer out!
Really, English, for a 12th grader, a kind of hard. Some of my students also have the same
problem. They think teachers of English seem not be greatly helpful to them. Yes, sometimes
I think so because the students have learned all the grammatical rules. What they will do next
is do more reading so as to enlarge their range of knowledge and learn more about language
and cultural background. In this way, they know how the native speakers use this language.
As a matter of fact, teachers are like what you say that they are not useful. What I know
about the English teaching in the third year is that teachers should focus on direct their
students how to learn and present to the students as much information on language
background as they can. Grammar is not at all that important. Reading is the main job.
In the third year, studnets should their own plan for the study of English in detail. They
also should distribute their time appropriately into several parts on reading, listening,
doing exercies, writing etc.
Teachers, I think, should improve their way of teaching especially in the third year. Teaching
in the third year is quite different from what it was years ago. The third year really needs
teaches, though.
